The Old Farmhouse, Honeymead offers warm, comfortable and spacious self catering farmhouse accommodation on Exmoor for up to 10 guests, consisting of 3 en-suite double bedrooms plus 2 twins with family bathroom. It is an ideal location and property for a group holiday, corporate hospitality, family reunion or to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family.

A feature of the modernisation – completed in 2011 – has been the provision of very spacious and light rooms, with delightful family furniture, pictures, books, games and other features expected in a family house. The Old Farmhouse is regularly used by members of the owning family as well as being available for other holiday-makers. Since this has been a modernisation of an old building, many of the rooms are at different levels with one or more steps between rooms.

Downstairs

The house has several reception rooms: An elegant and light living room with comfortable sofas and chairs around a log burning wood stove. Smart TV and large glass doors through to the almost Mediterranean garden/sun room. Grand piano and a bureau with plenty of maps and books on the local area. A separate Television room with a good desk as well as a comfortable sofa and chairs. A games room with a pool table and table football.

A formal dining room conveniently connected to the kitchen for candle-lit evenings with ample seating room. A large, well equiped, eat-in Kitchen with an AGA- style stove, electric oven and hob, microwave, dish-washer and fridge/freezer) with a breakfast table and plenty of crockery and utensils. You will find most things you need ie – washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, tea towels, toilet rolls etc but we don’t supply clothes washing products.

The Old Farmhouse has its own driveway with ample private parking and has extensive private lawns leading directly into a delightful small wood giving protection from the prevailing wind. There is also a terrace suitable for outdoor drinking or dining, BBQ, etc. and a tennis court – don’t forget to bring your rackets, balls and proper shoes.
